It was another case of joint efforts between the community and the Force in fighting crime - Yau Tim District recently paid recognition of community support, and at the same time received compliments from the community. At a ceremony held at Tsim Sha Tsui Police Station, Yau Tsim District Commander Kevin Woods complimented 10 citizens who had assisted the police in making arrests in cases of robbery, attempt theft, vehicle theft, petty theft and loitering. In addition, Mr Woods presented letters of appreciation to four security staff members for assisting the police in detecting four cases of using forged identity cards. At the same ceremony, five community organisations presented banners and silver plates to officers from Yau Tsim District in recognition of their efficiency and success in combating crimes, giving the officers much encouragement for their efforts to provide quality services to the public. On hand to witness the community and police co-operation were Yau Tsim Mong Fight Crime Committee Chairman, Mr Yip Kwok-chung, and three other committee members. |
