A total of 250 Force members and representatives from the Guangzhou Fat King Taekwondo Association, the New Generation Taekwondo Association and the Nepal Taekwondo Association took part in the annual competition of the Police Taekwondo Club (PTC) last month.

Master Yue Kwok-sum, who is PTC's current consultant and ex-master, runs the Fat King Taekwondo Association.

The annual event saw keen competition for trophies, and ended with friendship and fair play.

This year PTC had introduced a new event on "pattern", apart from the traditional "free fighting" competition. It is welcome by PTC members and will be included in future competitions.

After the event, PTC held an annual gathering dinner to bid farewell to its most senior member, Senior Inspector Tse Leung-wah, who is retiring from the Force.

Meanwhile, PTC representatives will participate in the Hong Kong Open Competition organised by the Hong Kong Taekwondo Association next month.

Members of the Force are welcome to join PTC, which runs weekly training sessions at the following time and days: -

Monday 8pm - 10pm at the Indoor Games Hall, PSRC

Wednesday 7:30pm - 9:30pm at the Table Tennis Room, PSRC

Friday 6:30pm - 8:00pm at the Indoor Games Hall, PSRC

Sunday 10am - 11:30am at the Gallery and History Room, POC (for POC members only)
