Jockey Club thanks CCB | ||
The Hong Kong Jockey Club has presented plaques to Commercial Crime Bureau (CCB) Chief Superintendent Wong Fook-chuen and CCB's Counterfeit & Forgery Division for detecting a false betting ticket case.
The case involved an ex-employee of the Club who used the information he obtained from his work and falsified betting tickets to obtain dividends from off-course betting centres. Officers of the Counterfeit & Forgery Division analysed all the false transactions and finally unveiled evidence linked to the former employee, who was eventually sentenced to 11 months' imprisonment on five counts of theft and five counts of possession of false instruments.
