The manager offered "respect and compliments of the highest degree" to the officers for arresting two burglars who had broken into his office and a neighbouring office, and made off with a quantity of property. The officers had also recovered more than $20,000 worth of property stolen from the manager's office. The officers' performances indicted that Hong Kong is served by a first-class police force, the manager noted. |

The resident found her purse missing after alighting from a bus in Causeway Bay, and reported the matter to PC Yim, who immediately alerted fellow officers on patrol in the vicinity. In less than half an hour, the resident got back her purse intact, and praised PC Yim for his enthusiasm, courtesy and efficiency. |

The resident's grandmother had short breath when she was walking up a slope to a tourist spot. On seeing this, the officers flagged down a tour coach and asked the driver if he could take the old woman to her destination. The driver obliged and gave the resident and his grandmother a free lift. |
