The 3rd Learning and Development Exhibition would be held at the Multi-Purpose Hall on 10th floor, Arsenal House, Police Headquarters between March 15 and 17, to coincide with the 15th Interpol Symposium for Heads of Police Training. For the third time, the Learning and Development Exhibition provides Force members with abundant information on opportunities and channels for continuous learning offered by the Police and other organisations. A host of different police formations, local universities and institutes as well as Civil Service Training and Development Institute (CSTDI) will set up booths or display boards on information on the learning and development opportunities inside and outside the Force for visitors to acquire the knowledge that would enhance their professionalism and meet the ever-changing needs of society. The exhibition is intended for both the delegates to the 15th Interpol Symposium and all Force members, including their families. It is expected that the delegates will attend the exhibition in the afternoon on the second day of the symposium and 800 Force members and their families will attend the same event each day. In addition to the exhibition, the organising committee will also arrange seminars on six different topics, namely "Work Ethic & Moral Issues", "How Police Culture Influence our Families?", "Handling of Victims & Getting their Co-operation", "JPO Overseas Training", " A Psychological Approach to Conflict Management in Modern Policing" and " Impact of Peer Coaching through Empathetic Listening". About 480 Force members of all ranks will attend the six seminars. The focus of the exhibition will be in line with the symposium's slogan of "Building an International Learning Community" and its five core themes, providing training information to Force members as well as presenting training achievements to the world. |
