In pursuance of CP's "Three-Year Strategy Action Plan" on further IT development within the Force, Information Technology Learning Unit (ITLU) of the Professional Development Learning Centre has developed another e-learning package on Leave Recording Computer System through out-sourcing. It is a Cantonese package that uses interactive simulation to teach Formation's Leave Centre Administrator and Leave Centre Clerk how to operate the Leave Recording Computer System. To assist staff further, a CD-Rom has also been produced and distributed to all Formations. The CD-Rom can be used on all personal computers and their functions are easy to follow. To promote e-learning and self-learning culture, ITLU has so far developed a total of two e-learning packages on Leave Recording and Duty Scheduler 2 Computer Systems. In addition to that, ITLU CIP Susanna Woods told OffBeat that she had also developed 60 computer on-line modules on the Force Information Communal System (FICS) through in-house resources. These e-learning modules are easy to follow and have also been uploaded on Police Intranet (POINT) via the ITLU Homepage and Training Wing's Learning Portal. CIP Woods said that feedback from users would continually be sought in a bid to ensure that future development would be enhanced.
