Three members of the Independent Police Complaints Council (IPCC), Mr Edgar Kwan Chi-ping, Mr Daniel Cham Ka-hung and Dr Charles Koo Ming-yan, visited Regional Command and Control Centre New Territories (RCCC NT) and Police Tactical Unit Headquarters (PTU HQ) on June 27.

During the visit, SSP OPS NTN Leung King-hang and DC PTU Mike Cartwright respectively briefed the members on the special features of the new Third Generation Command and Control Communications System (CC III) and the tactical training to deal with various scenarios of crowd management. The members also took the opportunity to discuss with frontline officers the difficulties they had encountered in carrying out their daily duties.

Accompanying the visitors were Assistant Commissioner (Service Quality) Wong Doon-yee, Complaints & Internal Investigations Branch (C&IIB) Chief Superintendent Wong Fook-chuen. The visit was organised by C&IIB as part of a programme to further enhance IPCC members' understanding of frontline policing.
