Lots of fun and laughter at carnival

This year's Health Lifestyle Carnival held at PSRC was another resounding success, attracting some 10,000 visitors, mostly officers and their families.

The theme of this annual event was encouraging Force members to participate in voluntary community services and cultivate personal interests to lead a meaningful and full life.

A great variety of activities catering for both adults and children were kicked off as soon as Director of Personnel and Training Tsang Wai-hung had performed the traditional lion dance eye-dotting ceremony. To recognise their participation in community services after work, Mr Tsang presented the volunteer team service certificates, awarded by the Social Welfare Department, to the representatives from various Police volunteer teams. Details are as follows:

Volunteer Team Certificate
Police Volunteer Services Corps Gold
Choi Hung Police Volunteer Team Gold
EU KE Volunteer Team Gold
EU NTN Volunteer Team Gold
Police Civilian Staff Club Gold
NTK Volunteer Team Gold

Supported by over 30 clubs under Police Sports Council and Police Arts Council, the activities of the second Carnival were designed to drive the theme home. The large turnout and the jovial atmosphere attested to the popularity of the event, which was organised by Personnel Services and Staff Relations Branch to promote a health lifestyle among all Force members.
