Kowloon City District and Shun Hing Technology Company Limited are jointly running an Inter-school Video Production Competition for students in connection with the District's "Kowloon City Anti-Crime On-line Learning Programme".

Carrying the theme of "Police and Community Joining Hands in Upholding Law and Order", the competition aims at re-enforcing anti-crime messages and promoting civic education. It is hoped that students participating in the competition would have a better idea of police work and public co-operation in fighting crime, through their production of video clips with different media.

The Television Division of Radio Television Hong Kong, Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG), Education and Manpower Bureau and a media company are assisting the competition as co-organisers. The HKFYG has also provided a public on-line platform for the public to cast their votes on the video clips selected for the final of the competition.

The award-winning video clips will also be uploaded to the "eTVonline of the Radio Television Hong Kong", HKFYG's website u21 and the "Kowloon City Anti-Crime On-line Learning Programme" for public viewing.

The competition will last for half a year and its progress will be uploaded to www.panasonic.oa.com.hk and HKFYG's youth website www.u21.org.hk. The competition results will be announced at an awards presentation ceremony scheduled for January 21, 2006.

The "Anti-Crime On-line Learning Programme" was the second runner-up of the Force Service Quality Award Competition for 04/05.

Details of the video production competition are spelt out in a promotion flyer
