Busy as usual on National Day
Members of the Force had a hectic time as the community and thousands of Mainland visitors celebrated the National Day with a great variety of functions and activities.
For frontline officers, their busy day began at 8 am on October 1 with a flag-raising ceremony and parades by the disciplined services at the Golden Bauhinia Square outside the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, which attracted a large crowd of spectators. They were stretched to the limit in the evening as people thronged the waterfronts to watch the fireworks display.
