Forum on public order events
In view of the recent Court of Final Appeal's rulings on public order events and the upcoming Hong Kong Ministerial Conference, Assistant Commissioner (Operations) Henrique Koo, in conjunction with Support Wing, conducted a discussion forum on "Police Power in relation to Public Order Events" at PHQ Auditorium on September 24 and 30.
Mr Kevin Zervos, SC, Senior Assistant Director of Public Prosecutions from the Department of Justice, was guest speaker at the two sessions, which drew a full house, as well as many questions regarding the practical application of the Public Order Ordinance. The briefings were well received by the audiences.
