The management of a Kowloon hotel recently commended officers from Mong Kok District for cracking a racket carrying out prostitution activities in hotels.

Through the Police Community Relations Office, the hotel informed police that guests were using their hotel rooms for immoral activities. Following detailed planning and with the co-operation of the hotel, officers of a Special Duties Squad, led by Operations Officer Li Kam-piu, arrested a number of persons and later brought them to court.

In appreciation of the officers' swift response and efficiency, the hotel management presented a banner to Mong Kok District Commander Sham Wai-kin.

At the same time, the owner of a poultry shop in Canton Road also presented a banner to officers of a Task Force, who had arrested a man and recovered a cash box stolen from the shop, after a long chase in the street.
