NB makes record seizure of ketamine |
||
Narcotics Bureau officers have made a good start in the new year of 2006 - seizing 151 kg of ketamine and arresting two persons for trafficking in the drug. The seizure, the biggest in one single operation since ketamine was classified as a dangerous drug in Hong Kong in 2000, was made when the officers raided a drug store in Ho Chung Village, Sai Kung, on January 3, following an intensive investigation into a ketamine trafficking syndicate. The haul could fetch up to $37 million in the illicit retail market.
The record seizure underscores NB officers' constant efforts to keep Hong Kong drug-free
