TMDIST praised for reducing crime
At the review session, the members learned that the overall crime figures in Tuen Mun dropped by five per cent in 2005, compared with 2004. The reduction on robbery, burglary, assault and wounding, theft from vehicles and TCWA cases was even more remarkable.
Upon conclusion of the review, the TMDC Chairman, Mr Lau Wong-fat, and the TMDFCC Chairman, Mr Lam Tak-leung, jointly forwarded a letter to Commissioner Lee Ming-kwai to praise Tuen Mun District's efforts in fighting crime.
Members of Tuen Mun District Council (TMDC) and Tuen Mun District Fight Crime Committee (TMDFCC) recently praised Tuen Mun District for reducing crime last year, after attending the 2005 year-end crime review.
