1. When attending a Police Formation in connection with a case other than in pursuance of his official duties, an officer shall identify himself as a police officer to the DO or the OC Case, who will record the attendance in FICS or investigation file as appropriate. (PGO 6-01)

2. The requirement at (1) above also applies to auxiliary police officers when a member of the Auxiliary Police attends a Police Formation in connection with a case other than in pursuance of his auxiliary police duties. (HKAPF Standing Orders Chapter 6-01)

3. A police officer shall not attend any interview or interrogation or take part in any investigation, raid or operation other than in the pursuance of his duty, except in a case arising during an off-duty period in which an officer may be obliged to take action without being able to first consult his senior officers.
