Support group formed for Force wives

Loss of a beloved one is hard to bear and difficult to accept. Yet the Welfare Services Group of Personnel Services and Staff Relations Branch is trying to help Force wives get through this most painful moment of life.

In conjunction with the Society for the Promotion of Hospice Care, the Welfare Services Group has organised a Bereavement Group for Force wives who have lost their spouses.

The Group is scheduled to meet at the Jessie and Thomas Tam Centre in Room 316, Lai Lan House, Lai Kok Estate, Cheung Sha Wan, Kowloon, on January 2 and February 6, 2007 from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. An outing will also be held on February 11. The meetings aim at helping Group members, through experience sharing, positive thinking and controlling emotions, overcome their grief and face life more positively.
