Promotion of mental health will be the order of the day when the Kowloon East Region and the Kowloon East and Kowloon West Regional Welfare Office jointly organise a Family Life Education Day Camp at the Lei Yue Mun Park & Holiday Village in Chai Wan on December 3.

Mrs Lau Yu Po-kwan, a retired clinical psychologist from the Hospital Authority and member of various government committees and boards, will give an interactive talk on "Growing Mentally Healthy", discussing ways and means to lead a happy life for healthy personal growth and family harmony. In addition to the theme talk, there will be childrenÕs groups, family games and orienteering, magic show, workshop on animal balloons and BBQ.

Posters of the day camp are being sent to KE Region for display at formations and premises. Regular disciplined and civilian officers of KE Region and their family members are welcome to enroll before November 22 through their TSRO Offices.

The camp fee is $40 both for disciplined and civilian officers and family members while admission is free for children aged below three.
