Speaking at the presentation ceremony on October 25, Mr Wong said his CO's Commendation is in recognition of the recipients' continuous outstanding performance and devotion to duty throughout their service in SQW.
No less deserving are the recipients of the Police Long Service Medals and Clasps, Mr Wong continued. "Not only have they served the Force for a prolonged period of time, but they have also shown sustained commitment and professionalism throughout their careers. Their exemplary character and good conduct deserve formal recognition.
"This is exactly where the importance of all these awards lies. In recognising the officers' contributions, we motivate fellow teammates to do better. It is with these men and women, who have been observed to be doing good all along, the Force, and the Government as a whole, are capable of continuous improvement," he added.
Assistant Commissioner (Service Quality) Wong Doon-yee presented Commanding Officer's Commendation and Police Long Service Medals and Clasps to 18 officers in Service Quality Wing (SQW).
