Force takes inter-departmental badminton title

The Force has won the Disciplined Services Badminton Tournament 2006, followed by Fire Services Department (FSD) and Customs and Excise Department as first and second runners-up respectively.

Hosted by FSD, the annual competition saw five rounds of thrilling competition lasting for about two months at the Disciplined Services Sports and Recreation Centre (DSSRC) in So Kon Po, Causeway Bay.

Two new events were introduced for this year's competition, namely, Officers' Doubles for officers at Superintendent rank or above and Individual Men's Doubles. Senior Superintendents Keith Chau and Percy Fung came second in Senior Officers' Doubles while Police Constables Wong Chi-hong and Wu Chun-ngo clinched the Individual Men's Doubles title.

Following the presentation of trophies by the Director of Fire Services, players and their families enjoyed a dinner gathering at the DSSRC.
