School principal

The school principal wrote to CP to thank the officers for their concerns about harassment of his students by the unruly outside their school. He said the officers took the initiative to call at the school and successfully stopped young thugs from bullying the students during patrols outside the school.

KMB bus driver

The driver was very impressed with the officers' performance in attending to a bus passenger who slipped and received minor injuries on the bus. "The two officers were fair, objective, affable and professional. Their services show we still have public servants with a high quality," said the driver in a letter to the traffic unit in Sheung Shui Police Station.

The resident thanked PC Yu and his colleagues for their tenacious efforts in locating her husband, who left her in 2002.

The resident thanked the officers for locating his young son three days after the boy had gone missing. In particular, he appreciated the extent the officers had gone to in searching for the boy, including posting notices on the streets.

The resident alighted from a bus but left some takeaway food behind. When he failed to signal the bus driver to stop, PC Wong passed by on a motorcycle and asked what had happened to him. On learning the resident's predicament, PC chased after the bus and later returned with the food. "I and my family have high regard for the police's professionalism and helpfulness," the resident said.

Shop theft victim

The victim praised the officers' efficiency in apprehending a suspect within two weeks after her cell phone was stolen in a shop.

Motorist

The motorist said the officers arrived at Cotton Tree Drive, Central, minutes after a traffic accident in which he was involved had happened. Throughout their investigation at the scene, the officers were "highly efficient, professional and polite".

A businessman

The businessman's home in Hong Kong was burgled and a quantity of valuable Chinese calligraphy and gold coins was stolen, but later all the stolen articles were recovered, thanks to the officers' professional investigation. After this WPC Kwok also called on the victim to give tips on crime prevention. In a letter to CP and DC EDIST, the businessman said he was very impressed with the officers' professionalism and attitude towards their job, and saw Hong Kong as a safe world city.
