"Enforcing the law is not the panacea for all social problems. I avail myself every opportunity to help build a harmonious and safe community," said Woman Police Constable Carol Li when she spoke of her participation in the "Sai Kung Healthy and Safe City Slogan Competition".

Currently attached to Tsuen Wan District, Carol recently clinched both the championship and the second runner-up title in the open division of the competition, which was organised by the "Tseung Kwan O - Healthy City" Project Office under the Sai Kung District Council as part a series of programmes to encourage Tseung Kwan O residents to lead a healthy lifestyle.

"I've been living in Tsueng Kwan O for about 10 years. It's an honour for me to have won the competition and contributed to delivering a positive message to the community. With the growing concern about domestic violence, I believe law enforcement is not the only solution to this problem, and the way to get to the root of the problem is to enhance community education and raise public awareness," she added.

Carol with her trophies
