The Narcotics Bureau (NB) has once again earned the compliments of an overseas law enforcement agency - the National Police Agency (NPA) of Japan - for assisting in combating transnational drugs trafficking. With the assistance by NB, the NPA apprehended six Hong Kong citizens, four Japanese nationals, one Mainland citizen and one Taiwanese in Tokyo and Yokohama during three operations between April and May this year. A total of 56 kg of "ICE" were also seized during the operations. On behalf of the NPA, Mr Tsuyoshi Imamura, Consul (Police Superintendent) at the Consulate-General of Japan, presented letters of appreciation and medals to 10 NB officers at PHQ on June 8.
