Management Committee-Card Authorisation System in PRC

In a letter to RC HKI, the management committee commended the officers for neutralising a card fraud syndicate. Their painstaking efforts led to the arrest of a key suspect for fraudulently obtaining credit cards and personal loans, successful prosecution and full recovery of the proceeds of the crime.

In a letter to CP, the resident said the officers took only two months to locate the identity card he lost nine years ago and arrest a woman for using the card in applying for a government-subsidised training course. The officers also followed up on the case until it was concluded in court.

Victim of a kidnap and extortion case

In a letter to RC HKI, the victim thanked the officers for rescuing him unharmed and apprehending his kidnappers. The victim also pointed out that the officers had acted decisively, demonstrated their ability and put his personal safety as the first priority.

Unit Coordinator of the Social Welfare Department

The Coordinator thanked the officers for their support and assistance in providing emergency outreaching services to a relapsed psychiatric patient at Shek Pai Wan Estate when Acting SP Wright promptly deployed officers to assist her team. Immediately following WIP Pang's telephone conversation with the Unit Coordinator, PSU2 officers worked out a strategic plan with the team to protect the Coordinator while she was counselling the agitated patient at the scene, and later to escort the patient to hospital.

The resident sent a "thank you" letter to WPC Ng for successfully locating her son she had separated from for the past 26 years. The information provided by the resident about her son was only a birth certificate, but the WPC took only a couple of hours to obtain important clues that eventually led to successfully locating the young man's residential address.

On behalf of his neighbours in Stanley Pat Kan, the resident thanked SSGT Leung and his officers for their exemplary performance in handling the discovery of the dead body of an Austrian woman in a house in Pat Kan. SSGT Leung's leadership and deployment of officers facilitated the communication between the police and the residents. Whilst discharging their duties in the neighbourhood, SSGT Leung and his team warmed the residents with care and courtesy. When the deceased's house was re-opened, SSGT Leung's team had already eradicated all nuisances at the site with thorough cleaning and disinfection, the resident added.

Victim of assault case

In a letter to CP, the victim thanked IP Ng and his team members for investigating her complaint of having been assaulted by another woman. She pointed out that during the entire course of the investigation, IP Ng and his team demonstrated "utmost professionalism" and sensitivity to her as a crime victim, adding that the co-operative and professional attitude of IP Ng and his team helped further boost her confidence and trust in the police.
