The annual Display of the Mace Ceremony was held at the Police College on June 8 in memory of the late Sir Shiu Kin Tang.

Officiating at the ceremony, Commissioner Tang King-shing reminisced the late philanthropist's contributions to police staff welfare and thanked his family for their continued support.

Sir Shiu Kin's widow, Lady May, son and daughter, Richard and Yvonne, were present at the ceremony.

Donated by Sir Shiu Kin's family as a symbol of his close relationship with the Force, the silver mace is used by the Police Pipe Band in all major official ceremonies.

After the ceremony, CP presented a letter to Richard, appointing him Honorary President of the Police Band.
