About 1,000 officers were deployed on each day of the three-day Olympic test event - "the Good Luck Beijing - HKSAR 10th Anniversary Cup" - held at the Core Venue converted from the Hong Kong Sports Institute and Penfold Park, and the Hong Kong Jockey Club's Beas River venue, starting from August 11. The deployment gave the officers a foretaste of what will come their way during next year's Olympic equestrian event.
