Healthy Lifestyle Carnival
Physical health and fitness, fun and excitement were the order of the day during the three-hour Healthy Lifestyle Carnival. The Personnel Services and Staff Relations Branch, in conjunction with police sports and arts clubs, has been organising the carnival since 2002 to encourage Force members to stay physically fit and mentally alert by taking up sporting, arts and healthy lifestyle activities. Twenty-three Police Sports Clubs, eight Police Arts Clubs and the Carelinks Cadre pitched in for the success of the event, organising a total of 32 fun orientated games for teams formed by officers and civilians from all Major Formations. CP, Senior Directorate Group officers and Formation Commanders lent full support to the carnival by joining Force members in the games, besides presenting prizes to the winners. Intensive competition saw the Police College clinching the overall championship, followed by Marine and New Territories North as first and second runners-up respectively. In the Funniest Games event, the Police Basketball Club and Police Football Club shared the title, while the Police Bowling Club won the third place. The College's cheering team was selected as the most entertaining and welcome team. The second and third places went to the teams from Kowloon West and Marine.
