Two members of the Police Cycling Club (PCC), WPCs Chau Pui-yan and Ho Kit-ying shined in local and international triathlons recently.

WPC Chau took the fourth place in the Women's Event of the International Triathlon 2007 (Asian Cup Series) held in Port Dickson, Malaysia, on July 22, completing the gruelling contest in two hours and 25 minutes. She took on over 30 elite athletes from countries and places in Southeast Asia, including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Macao under fickle weather on the day of the competition, which was marked by intermittent rains, very high temperature and humidity.

In Tolo Harbour on August 5, WPC Ho clinched the second place in the Women's Event of a land triathlon.

Both athletes owe their success to the training provided by the PCC before the competitions to beef up their speed and technique. In the near future, they will continue taking part in international competitions, including a triathlon and cycling events in Switzerland this month.
