The resident said when the officers went to his house to investigate a burglary, he thought they were just doing a routine job, and he did not expect they would solve the case. However a month later when he had almost forgotten the case, he was informed that his lost property had been recovered and a suspect was arrested. The victim, a fish stall owner in a Kowloon City market, said the officers raced to the scene, apprehended a suspect and rendered first aid to him shortly after the suspect had bashed him on the head with an iron water pipe. |

Chairman of the HK Ex-servicemen's Association |
The chairman of the association thanked the officers for applying first aid to a member of the association and sending him to hospital when he suffered from heat exhaustion in a restaurant on Po Toi Island. The officers are not only well trained for this kind of emergency, but also able to provide comfort and care to the member's family, said the chairman in a letter to RC Marine. |

A taxi driver handed in at Waterfront Police Station the briefcase the resident had left behind, but the only clue for the officers was a work permit with a company logo. Searching company logos on the Internet, they successfully traced the resident's company. In a letter to DVC WFDIV, the resident said the officers' dedication to duties and enthusiasm had saved her the loss of items with high sentimental value. |
