The Police Review 2006 has, for the first time, won a Citation for Achievement in Design in the "Non-profit Making and Charitable Organisations" Category of the 2007 Best Annual Reports Awards organised by the Hong Kong Management Association.

Only four annual reports in the same category have won the design award in the competition.

The Principal Information Officer (Publicity and Publications) of the Police Public Relations Branch, Ms Wendy Leung So-ling, received the award on behalf of the Force from the Chairman of the Hong Kong Management Association, Dr David Li Kwok-po, on November 19.

The Judges' Report of the competition said that the Police Review "comes from the heart" and does not "beat about the bush". It engaged the reader with a front cover and inset pages on "who we are and how we operate".

The general presentation of the Police Review, such as cover design, general layout, graphs, charts, diagrams and highlights, was of a high standard, the Judges' Report added.

The Hong Kong Management Association has been organising the competition since 1973 to encourage publication of timely, accurate, informative and well-presented annual reports.
