The Force was awarded the Caring Organisation Logo 2007/08 by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service at the Caring Company Recognition Ceremony in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on February 21, with the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Henry Tang, officiating.

This is the third consecutive year the Force has been honoured with this award in addition to the Total Caring Award Organisation 2006/07 which are all in recognition of the Force's community involvement and commitment to being a corporate citizen in the past year.

This year, in being awarded the Caring Organisation Logo 2007/08, the Force has been adjudged to have attained achievements in the following six Caring Organisation Criteria:

1. Volunteering

Encouraging and supporting employee volunteering

2. Employee Friendly

Providing an employee friendly and gender sensitive environment for employees

3. Employing Vulnerable

Being willing to employ vulnerable groups

4. Caring for the Environment

Promoting environmental protection actively

5. Mentoring

Sharing business expertise with non-profit organisations

6. Giving

Providing cash or giving in-kind to non-profit organisations

This award reflects The Force's efforts in making continuous contribution to the well-being of the Hong Kong community. With this award, the Force is entitled to carrying the Caring Organisation Logo 2005-08 with effect from February 21 to December 31, 2008 in promotional items and activities to show the public that the Force is a socially responsible organisation. The new Logo and its specification are now available on POINT.

In addition, being the awardee of the Total Caring Award - Organisation 2006/07, the Force is also entitled to displaying the designated logo in any promotional activities or materials beyond 2007 so long as the Force renews the Caring Organisation status every year.
