Commissioner Tang King-shing, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner (Management) Tsang Wai-hung, visited Police Constable Chu Chun-kwok at the Guangzhou General Hospital of the Guangzhou Military Command on the afternoon of February 19.

Mr Tang was pleased with the progress PC Chu had made in taking soft food. PC Chu was in good spirit during the visit.

CP encouraged PC Chu to keep up his effort in rehabilitation training and extended full support to Mrs Chu and PC Chu's mother, who were present during the visit, for their unfailing effort in taking care of PC Chu. He also brought PC Chu a pair of gloves to keep warm during the cold spell.

PC Chu is expected to return to Hong Kong to continue his rehabilitation programme at the end of the month.

CP also took the opportunity to present a souvenir to the Officer-in-Charge of the Guangzhou General Hospital in appreciation of the medical staff's great effort in caring for PC Chu.
