Commissioner Tang King-shing called at the Enforcement & Control Base of Traffic Hong Kong Island (T HKI) and presented his Unit Commendation to T HKI on January 15.

He commended T HKI for an exceptionally high level of teamwork, professionalism and devotion to duty displayed during the planning and implementation of traffic management operations from August 2005 to July 2007, in particular for policing of the Hong Kong Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organisation, the International Telecommunication Union World Conference and the various celebration events for the 10th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

The senior management of HKI Region and Senior Superintendents from other Traffic Formations also attended the ceremony to share the joy and glory of this unprecedented event with T HKI officers. Over 100 serving and former T HKI officers who have made significant contributions leading to the award also came back and joined the party, during which CP had friendly chats with each and every officer during the refreshment break.
