Accompanied by District Commander Chung Hung-fung, Mr Yam was briefed by subject officers on, among other subjects, the "Policing Concept at the Future West Kowloon Cultural District", "District Strategy Against Vice Activities and Problematic Licensed Premises", "Engaging Non-ethnic Chinese Community" and the "Development Programme for JPOs with Potential".

Mr Yam then went on a tour of the District to see the latest developments on the ground, including the International Commerce Centre, a 118-storey skyscraper under construction at the West Kowloon Reclamation Area, and the Yau Ma Tei Police Station, which has been classified as a historic building by the Antiquities and Monuments Office.

Before rounding off his visit, Mr Yam met Inspectorate officers, JPOs and civilian staff at a tea reception, where he was presented with a souvenir booklet of his visit.
