Force joins mourning of earthquake victims
The Force joined the nation-wide mourning of the earthquake victims in Sichuan by observing a three-minute silence at 2:28 pm on May 19. The senior officers working at the Police Headquarters (PHQ) paid silent tribute to the victims at the Ceremonial Area in PHQ while officers in other Formations gathered at their station compounds to mourn the earthquake victims. During the three-minute silence, the sirens of some police vehicles in vehicle compounds and Marine Police launches were sounded for five seconds.
