I'm also thankful for the support given by my family." Director of Crime and Security Lee Ka-chiu, awarded the Police Medal for Distinguished Service, said: "As a civil servant, the award is a very great honour for me. It is also a big privilege not only for me but also for the Force as a whole. "The Force places emphasis on teamwork, so my award is the result of the joint efforts of officers, which have earned the Force recognition of the community and the Government." Kwai Tsing District Commander Ip Lau-chuen, also a Police Medal for Distinguished Service recipient, said: "In the past 34 years of my police career, I came across different challenges, especially during the 25 years in various crime units, where colleagues did their best and gave their full support in combating serious crimes. The senior management has also done its best to seek resources for officers to enjoy the benefits of a quality life after work. At this moment, I wish to share my joy with everyone who has worked with me in the Force." PC Cheung Wah-yuk, who has been awarded the Medal for Bravery, said: "It's a great honour for me to receive the award. The credit for me also goes to the Force as a whole and to members of the Task Force of Tin Shui Wai Division, who worked with me in the anti-burglary operation. I'm also thankful for the guidance, support and care by my superiors. Lastly, I'm also thankful for the training and opportunities the Force has given me."
