Acting CE, S for S, CP saddened by death of PC
The Acting Chief Executive, Mr Henry Tang; the Secretary for Security, Mr Ambrose SK Lee, and Commissioner Tang King-shing have been saddened by the death of Police Constable So Chi-ho during a traffic accident while on duty, and have extended condolences to PC So's family.
"I am deeply saddened to learn of the tragic accident and my sympathy goes to the bereaved," Mr Lee said.
PC So died after he fell from the motorcycle he was riding in Lok Ma Chau shortly before 8 pm on August 9, whilst performing escort duties in connection with the Olympic Equestrian Events.
The Force Welfare Services Group has been in touch with PC So's family and would make every effort to help the family during their time of sadness.
PC So joined the Force in 2000. At the time of the accident, he was attached to the Enforcement and Control Division of Traffic Kowloon West. He had shown great enthusiasm for his work and was a very dedicated officer.
