During the drive, two members of the council, Mr Chan Siu-tong and Mr Hung Chiu-wah, joined officers from a Special Duty Squad of YTDIST, Police Community Relations Office, and a Patrol Sub-unit of Yau Ma Tei Division in handing out copies of an anti-illegal gambling leaflet to the public in parks in Yau Ma Tei.

The publicity drive is one of YTDIST's initiatives to support the Strategic Direction on "Engaging the Community". Therefore, the publicity leaflet sought to make the public more aware of the serious consequences of indulgence in gambling - ruining one's life and brushing with the law. To give the public a better idea of the law, the leaflet also listed out some common gambling offences and their penalties.
