Officers may have read the circular issued by Finance Division on November 28 on implementation of "Pull" Mode for pay statements. Regarding the circular on "Launch of e-Payroll System" issued in September last year, officers are advised of the availability of the e-Payroll service, which started in the same month. One of the important features of the e-Payroll service is to enable officers to view and download their statements for salary and other fringe benefits at a time convenient to them (i.e., the "pull" mode arrangement). In fact, this "pull" mode arrangement has been successfully rolled out to more than 80 bureaux and departments. The Treasury has announced the formal implementation of the "pull" mode arrangement for Force members' pay statements, starting from delivery of the pay statements for this month. In other words, the current arrangement of despatch of pay statement in paper form or by e-mail will cease this month. The e-Payroll service allows officers on-line access through the departmental portal to their own payroll accounts. It operates from 6 am to midnight from Monday to Saturday (except public holidays). Through a log-on under e-Services of the Force, officers can first access POINT through networked terminals or through log-on to POINT-from-Home and then click the e-Services button on the homepage for log-on. For officers' reference, the types of downloadable and procedural guide detailing the steps for logon are available on POINT. In case of any technical problem during the logon procedure, contact the Information and Communications Network Management Centre (ICNMC) on 2860-3444. For maximum protection of personal data, log out from the e-Payroll System every time after using the functions. In addition, ensure that user name/account is not disclosed to any person and the login password is changed on a regular basis.
