Exchange programme on Mainland
CELAP is a well-known higher institution funded by the Central Government. It provides tailor-made training programmes for senior Central Government officials, as well as top executives and professionals from business sector to enhance their understanding of China's opening-up and reform policy and to keep them updated on the latest developments on the Mainland. Equipped with modern facilities, CELAP offers a diverse range of training programmes with national renowned scholars as instructors. To underline the significance of the programme, CELAP specially invited Mr Cai Anji, Director-General of the Political Department of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) to chair a thematic seminar on the MPS' structure and tasks. Deputy Commissioner (Management) Tsang Wai-hung and Assistant Director (Management & Support) of the Immigration Department Corrado Chow took time out of their busy schedules to attend Mr Cai's seminar and reminded officers to make good use of this learning opportunity. Earlier, Director of Police College Cheuk Chun-yin also visited CELAP and inaugurated the training programme. The leadership training programme not only provided the participants with insight into the latest situation on the Mainland, but also enhanced the communication and academic exchange between the Force and the Immigration Department through group discussions and forum. It also provided an opportunity for officers at different ranks from various Formations of the Force to get to know and learn from each other. Force members impressed CELAP teaching staff with their enthusiasm for the training programme.
