The Director of the Japanese Coastguard Transnational Organised Crime Strike Force, Captain Ryoji Nakanishi, visited Marine Region's Operations Bureau on February 9.

Accompanied by Deputy Marine Regional Commander John Cox, Mr Nakanishi and his delegation were briefed on the latest smuggling trends in Hong Kong and the Mainland, as well as the areas of concern for Marine Region.

The visit afforded both sides an opportunity to discuss matters of mutual concern, and represented an important part of Marine Region's on-going efforts to sustain information exchanges with national and regional law enforcement agencies.
