Officiating at the ceremony was the Financial Secretary, Mr John Tsang. Chief Superintendent Choi Wong Fung-yee and Force Welfare Officer Sylvia Kwok of Personnel Services and Staff Relations Branch attended the ceremony on behalf of the Force.

It is the fourth consecutive year since 2005 that the Force has been honoured with award of the Caring Organisation Logo in recognition of its continuous community involvement and commitment to being a good corporate citizen in the following six areas:

1. Volunteering

Encouraging and supporting employee volunteering

2. Employee Friendly

Providing an employee friendly and gender sensitive environment for employees

3. Employing Vulnerable

Being willing to employ vulnerable groups

4. Caring for the Environment

Encouraging organisations to adopt green management

5. Mentoring

Sharing business expertise with non-profit-making charitable organisations

6. Giving

Providing cash or giving in-kind to non-profit-making charitable organisations

Chief Superintendent Choi Wong Fung-yee said that the Force would not have made such an achievement without officers' unfailing support. "It is hoped that with concerted efforts and long-standing commitment to corporate social responsibilities, the Force will receive the Caring Organisation Logo for the fifth consecutive year in the forthcoming year," she added.

As the Force has been awarded the Caring Organisation Logo consecutively in previous years, it is entitled to use the logo (marked with the year 2005-09) from February 10 to December 31, this year in promotional materials and activities, so as to show that the Force is a socially responsible organisation.

Furthermore, being recipient of the "Total Caring Award - Organisation 2006/07", the Force is also entitled to display the designated logo in any promotional activities or materials beyond 2007 as long as the Force renews the Caring Organisation status every year. The new Logo and its specification are now available on POINT.
