The Police Golf Team pulled off seven prizes at the third round of the Hong Kong Disciplined Services Golf Tournament 2008-09 held at the Palm Island Golf Course, Huizhou, on January 12.

The tournament is a league competition consisting of six rounds, each of which is alternatively hosted by the competing bureau and departments, including Security Bureau teaming up with Independent Commission against Corruption, Police, Correctional Services, Customs and Excise, Fire Services, and Immigration.

A total of 90 golfers competed in the third round, which was hosted by the Hong Kong Police Golfing Society.

Prizes were presented by the Secretary for Security, Mr Ambrose S K lee; Commissioner of Customs and Excise, Mr Richard Yuen; Commissioner of Civil Aid Service, Dr Ernest Lee, and Mr Chan Tit-kin, ex-Chairman, Hong Kong Police Golfing Society.

The event owes its success to the concerted effort by Executive Committee members of the Hong Kong Police Golfing Society and members of the Police Team. The Golfing Society is actively promoting golf and a healthy lifestyle among Force members by participating in the tournament and by organising golf training courses and golf camps.
