In a letter to DC CDIST, the manager thanked the officers for providing an "extraordinary" support for his company during a protest by Lehman Brothers mini-bond customers late last year. He pointed out that during the incident, the officers showed a high level of professionalism, excellent security management knowledge, and experience of crowd management. Thanks to their hard work and patient coordination, the impact on his branch operation and inconvenience to the customers and pedestrians were minimised. |

Although being booked for entering a bus-only lane in Des Voeux Road Central in late October last year, the motorist was very grateful to PC Kwok for telling him how to get to his destination in Queensway. In an e-mail to PPRB, the motorist said PC Kwok had set a good example for his colleagues with his quality service, helpfulness and politeness. |

The motorist had a flat tyre while travelling on a highway in the New Territories in late November last year. He pulled up on the roadside and was worried about the safety of his family inside the car. Spotting the motorist's dilemma, PC Lam travelling in a patrol car stopped and helped him put on a spare tyre, earning the motorist's praise for his polite manner, consideration and professionalism. |

A Taiwanese visitor |
The visitor was shopping in November last year at the Hong Kong International Airport when she left her handbag on a trolley unattended. The officers, who were mounting an anti-theft operation, spotted a man acting furtively and stealing the visitor's handbag. The officers immediately intercepted and arrested the man for theft. After returning to Taiwan, the visitor wrote to compliment the officers for their professionalism. |
