Assistant Commissioner (Crime) To Chun-wai recently attended the 5th Annual Heads of National Central Bureaus Conference, held in Lyon, France, as part of the National Central Bureau China (NCB China) delegation. Accompanying him on the trip were Senior Superintendent Tang Ping-keung and Woman Senior Inspector Chan Ching-yin of Liaison Bureau.

Heading the Mainland delegation was Mr Chengtao Yu, Deputy Director General of NCB China. Other members included representatives from INTERPOL Macao, China, headed by Mr Adriano Marques Ho, Head of INTERPOL Macao, China.

A total of 234 delegates from 132 member countries took part in the conference from March 3 to 5. Since joining INTERPOL in 1960, the Force has been playing an active role in INTERPOL's operations and business. Force members found the conference an excellent opportunity to share good practices as well as to exchange valuable information with other law enforcement agencies.

Delegates from around the world were actively engaged in the three-day conference and agreed that the meeting provided a practical forum to enhance international collaboration in fighting transnational and organised crimes.

During the conference, Mr To met with Mr Khoo Boon-hui, President of INTERPOL, Mr Ronald Noble, INTERPOL Secretary General, and Mr Jean-Michel Louboutin, INTERPOL Executive Director of Police Services. Mr To also took the opportunity to reinforce the partnership and co-operation with his overseas counterparts and reiterated the Force's commitment and determination in pursuing international co-operation in policing matters.
