Marine launches Equiz
To support e-learning and promote lifelong learning, Marine Region has embarked on a long-term programme to develop e-learning. As part of a development plan, the Marine Police Training School has worked in partnership with the Police College to develop Marine Equiz which aims at helping marine and other interested officers to revise, update and enhance knowledge of navigation and seamanship as well as engineering. This package, modelled on a popular TV programme, "Millionaire", was rolled out on April 15 and interested officers may access Marine Equiz via Knowledge Management-Learning Portal > e-learning (HKPF) > others > Marine Equiz, or Marine Homepage > Support Bureau > Marine Police Training > Marine Equiz.
Marine Region is determined to continue improving the professional qualities of officers. Its long-term programme for this includes production and procurement of high quality e-learning packages on radar, simulated navigation scenarios, and monitoring of engine room instrumentation panels.
