The "Ladies Kick Boxing Programme", one of the activities of Operation Breakthrough, was covered by TVB on June 19 for its "Sunday Report". That day, the TVB filming team covered the trainees' training at the Tuen Mun Butterfly Beach Indoor Recreation Centre, including police volunteers offering guidance during the trainees' warm-up exercise, coaches teaching kick boxing skills, and an after-class review.

Following the training, the team interviewed social workers of the Hong Kong Federation of Youths in Tuen Mun and two police volunteers in Tuen Mun, Woman Police Constables Chow Pui-yan and Wong Hau-yan. During the interview, the officers pointed out the kick boxing programme aims at instilling discipline among the trainees and enhancing their self-confidence so that they would get a right concept of life values.

Expressing their personal feelings, the two woman constables said it was a great satisfaction for them to see the trainees making improvements in their behaviours.

The TVB coverage of the kick boxing programme was broadcast on TVB Jade channel on the evening of July 5.
