Following a visit to Police Tactical Unit Headquarters (PTU HQ), a closing ceremony was held in the PTU HQ Recreation Room on June 12 to mark the successful conclusion of the Police Mentorship Programme (PMP) 2008/09.

Officiating at the ceremony, Acting Director of Personnel and Training Tang Kam-moon thanked PTU HQ for organising the visit for Mentees and providing the venue for the closing ceremony. He also thanked all Mentors for their active involvement in the programme, sharing their precious experiences with Mentees, without which the PMP would not have become so successful.

Mr Tang then encouraged Mentees to strive for the highest standard as they are transitting to another stage of life. Interpreting the words PMP as "Planning, Mind and Passion", he hoped all Mentees would carry on such spirit in their future endeavours.

Deputy Head Mentor, Mr Chau Kwok-leung, presented a well-designed souvenir - a commemorative DVD of 2008/09 PMP - to mentor representatives. The DVD stores numerous photos of 2008/09 PMP and the contact list of all Mentors and Mentees.

The ceremony continued with a slideshow and notes of thanks by three Mentees to their Mentors. During a reception, some Mentees were so keen to reminisce about the events in the past year with their Mentors that they stayed until the very end of the event.
