Retired Chief Superintendent(CSP) Ian Seabourne received the MBE at Buckingham Palace on June 24 for his contributions to charity work in Hong Kong. Being one of the founders of the police youth project, Operation Breakthrough, Mr Seabourne was dedicated to steering youths at risk to a straight path through a variety of sports. On hand to congratulate Mr Seabourne on his decoration shortly after the award presentation were two former Force members, Iain Grant and Simon Monaghan. Mr Grant, former Narcotics Bureau CSP, said the award of the MBE reflected the hard work and commitment put in by the many Force members who had made a lot of contributions to Operation Breakthrough.
