Force bowlers captured the title of the first Disciplinary Services Lawn Bowl Competition with a total score of 79 points at the Police Officers' Club on July 18. A total of 64 bowlers from Police Lawn Bowl Club, Fire Services Department (FSD) Lawn Bowl Club and Correctional Services Department (CSD) Lawn Bowl Club competed with each other in round robin rink format from morning to late afternoon.

CSD bowlers narrowly beat FSD bowlers by 57 to 56 points to clinch the second place.

Speaking as a guest of honour before the prize presentation, Director of Management Services Mike Dowie said: "It is our privilege to hold the first disciplinary services lawn bowl competition. The competition not only can improve bowlers' skills but also can enhance communication amongst departments. In recent years, lawn bowl has become a popular sport in Hong Kong and we hope other disciplinary departments will join the competition."
