'Be Professionally Prepared'
for East Asian Games
The 5th East Asian Games (EAG) will be held in Hong Kong between December 5 and 13 this year. Policing of the EAG is one of the Commissioner's Operational Priorities for 2009, and the Force will ensure that security measures will be in place for the Games.
Officers participating in large-scale operations, no matter commanders or frontline officers, inevitably face a lot of challenges and therefore good psychological qualities and sufficient psychological preparation are of vital importance. In this regard, Psychological Services Group (PSG) will publish a series of cartoons with the theme of "Be Professionally Prepared for EAG" in coming issues of OffBeat to remind officers to maintain a balanced life and be mindful of their own stress reaction while being fully engaged in operations.
